AFTER appearing at last week’s Wide Days showcase, Becky Sikasa has shared a new single called ‘dreaming on 5htp’.
Marking her first new release since last year’s ‘Twelve Wooden Boxes’ EP, the new track is a fresh progression of her soulful sound – pulling from nineties pop tropes and classic soulful sounds to reshape them in her own guise.
With her stunning vocals set against warming harmonies, acoustic guitars and dynamic beats – the disparate elements come together seamlessly to great effect. Quietly infectious, it’s a sophisticated arrangement with a real groove to it.
