DUBLIN four-piece Bedrooms have shared a thoughtful new slow-burner called ‘For Today’.
While the city may be more synonymous for its fast and direct post-punk right now, Bedrooms are bringing their own sense of intrigue to the mix.
Bringing together a hazy, comforting melody together with a wistful melody, the track opens quietly and sedately and gradually unfolds into a big, cathartic guitar-driven instrumental. It’s a potent mix that has us excited for what’s to come.
The band said “‘For Today’ is a song we feel is our most ambitious to date. The song took shape over a period of months of being played live with some subtle changes being made to the arrangement over time.”
“We hadn’t really done any demoing for the recording session so we kept exploring new ideas from the rehearsal room to the studio. Leaning into slowcore and shoegaze, the song is a development of sounds we became interested in while working previously with Daniel Fox from Girl Band.”
