FRESH from signing a record deal with Gabrielle Aplin’s Never Fade Records, Billie Flynn has shared her gorgeous debut single ‘Hey Stranger’.
Discussing the song, Flynn said “This song came to me in a dream, I dreamt the melody and woke up frantically trying to find my phone to record a voice note, I still have it. It’s about seeing someone again that isn’t in your life anymore and hoping that they’re proud of who you are now.”
‘Hey Stranger’ certainly has a floaty, dreamy quality to it. With a voice that could hold a room to a standstill, her pristine vocal is gently adorned with keys and violin as she sweeps the listener away in hypnotic fashion. Subtly building to a moody climax, it’s a beautifully crafted piece of music that aims straight for the heart.
