The band: Blackberry Smoke released their first album way back in 2004, but it wasn’t until there 2012 album The Whippoorwill that their popularity sky-rocketed. They have now followed it up with their fourth album Holding All The Roses, which was released on the 10th February this year.
The sound: Steeped in the classic Southern States sound, Blackberry Smoke mix country, folk and rock. Their songs reflect the world that they come from, drawing inspiration from their surroundings. New single ‘Too High’ carries on this theme, lamenting the problems that small towns can face, and how they are affected. You can listen to their TTV session here.
The lowdown: Blackberry Smoke are currently on a huge tour around the US, that will take them into the summer.
