KNOWN to revel in the kind of blistering alt-rock that shakes you to your very core, Bloodlines have superseded all expectations with the release of their brand new single ‘Mother’s Misery’.
With a clatter of percussion we are re-introduced to the dark and turbulent world of the Glasgow-based outfit; albeit through a more polished framework. Sounding bigger and bolder than ever, Jamie Coltart’s powerful vocals resonate over a steady beat of heavy riffs and highly charged rhythms. It is not long however until the track fulfils its dark potential and builds into a frenzied sonic assault; screaming vocals, cutting guitars and chaotic choruses ensuring it reaches a dramatic finale.
Known to elicit savage chaos at their gigs, it is no surprise that Bloodlines have gained a reputation as a truly formidable live act; they won ‘Best Live Act’ at the 2016 Scottish Alternative Music Awards last October. Celebrating the release of their new single ‘Mother’s Misery’ on Friday 17th February, the band will return to the stage the following day, on Saturday 18th February, to headline Stereo in Glasgow. Already tagged as ‘ones to watch’ by industry musos, 2017 is shaping up to be a momentous year for the four-piece.
