PREPARING for the release of their sixteenth studio album Don’t Get Lost, Brian Jonestown Massacre have shared one of its featured tracks titled ‘Fact 67’.
Previously shared last year alongside ‘Throbbing Gristle’ as a ‘work in progress’, the track has now been given its final cut with guest vocals coming from legendary Charlatans frontman Tim Burgess. Approaching seven minutes in length, the Mancunian’s affected yet distinctive delivery is draped over a truly hypnotic arrangement; propulsive beats and growling guitar lines coming together to great effect. Spellbinding in its repetition, the track kicks into life in the final minute with a burst of squalling guitars, leaving you pining for more.
Deeply absorbing from the very outset, it’s a compelling insight into the forthcoming album that suggests the band will continue to forge their own musical path as the purveyors of mind-altering psych-rock. Don’t Get Lost is expected to be released on 24th February through A Recordings.
