‘LOVELIFE’ is the brand new single from elusive new Scottish artist C4SUAL.
Citing Anderson .Paak, Tom Misch, Bruno Major as inspirations, the singer has created a sound that you would be inclined to place far beyond the reaches of his hometown in North Lanarkshire. Instead, C4SUAL effortlessly guides us to sunnier climes with his plush 80s-inspired pop – his punchy production elevated by jazzy bass rhythms, warm, vintage key tones and fun, swooning pop melodies.
Brimming with swagger and infectious energy, ‘LOVELIFE’ is as fun and upbeat as its title suggests – and it’s a promising introduction to the new artist who is working alongside local label First Run Records.
Having gathered an enviable wealth of experience alongside some big industry names already (The 1975, James Bay, Tom Walker and producers Lewis Gardener, Louis Wyzgowski), the artist has spent the best part of a year honing in on his new sound – one that feels distinctly contemporary with some vintage throwbacks.
