The band: There’s been a buzz around Catfish and the Bottlemen for a few months now, their live shows and catchy tracks including recent single ‘Kathleen’, something worth talking about. The band take inspiration from the greats including the likes of Foo Fighters and stopped by TTV HQ earlier this month to record an awesome session which will be live in the next few weeks.
The sound: The track premiered last night as Zane Lowe’s ‘Hottest Record in the World’. The new single sees Catfish squaring up to some fairly idiosyncratic material. This track still has a nice serving of pop but with indie riffs and rusty vocals thrown in, all in equal measure.
The lowdown: ‘Fallout’ comes ahead of Catfish’s performance at this weekend’s Radio 1 Big Weekend, and a vigorous summer festival tour itinerary which will see them playing the likes of T In The Park, Leeds & Reading Festival and Ibiza + Mallorca Rocks.
