POST-punk four-piece Cheap Teeth have dropped their latest single ‘The Wind and The Rain’, from their upcoming EP, ‘Give Me More, Show Me Less’.

Produced by Catholic Action’s Chris McCrory, this EP saw Cheap Teeth returning to the scene of some of their previous releases, including the post-punk anthem ‘Ageless (Half of the Devil), Glasgow’s Green Door Studio. This cramped space has became the setting in which the band have harnessed their teeth-grinding, gothic punk sound, developed even further on this release.

The first taste of this development of the band has come in the form of ‘The Wind and The Rain’. Trudging verses of haunting, poetic punk ramblings, set over the tune of rumbling bass and drums gives the musical equivalent of walking through knee high mud. This builds before falling head first into the seemingly positive chorus with chants of “my time has come” displaying a swaggering confidence and sense of belief that is unwavering amongst this band as they go from strength to strength. Speaking of the tune, frontman Joe Laycock said “This song felt the most instant and captivating. It sums up the mood of the rest of the tracks nicely, we feel our time has come”.
