FRESH from an impressive last-minute set at TRNSMT Festival, DAYTIME TV have shared an emotive new track called ‘communication’.
Slowing down the pace, the band deliver a sparkling, cinematic soundscape that is befitting of the introspective subject matter.
They say “It can cut pretty deep when you dredge up old scars but I wanted to be honest with these lyrics. It’s one way of dealing with it.
Sometimes things take a turn in a relationship and you’re left questioning why. Going round in circles trying to make sense of it forever after. It’s one of the more tormenting parts of human nature and can really mess with your head. We crave meaning and answers for everything.
When it’s all said and done, maybe a little more communication when the first cracks started forming would’ve stopped the whole thing from falling apart. Maybe not. We’ll never know.
My advice is: write a song about it. The pain bleeds out in the ink. Works every time.”
