TAKEN from their record Physical World, Death From Above 1979 have released a new massively creepy video for ‘Virgins’. The track is full of rock riffs and greasy baselines with the accompanying video visually backing its dirty sound with eyeball licking, ashes snorting and mushroom trips.
The video is directed by Eva Michon – who is married to band member Sebastien Grainger – who also directed a recent documentary on the band titled ‘Life After Death From Above 1979.’ With the band starring in the video themselves as police, they commented: “The video takes cues from the lyrics of the song which are a meditation on innocence and coming of age. That very precarious time in life when sex is elusive, maybe even frightening but always compelling.”
The band will play Primavera Sound in Barcelona next month, then Glastonbury in June. They then go on the road with Deftones and Incubus where they play all over America. Check out full details here.
