DJO, aka Joe Keery, has continued the build-up to his upcoming album ‘The Crux’ with the release of a new single called ‘Delete Ya’.
We’ve already heard ‘Basic Being Basic’, a bold and brazen track about the superficial nature of the modern world, but ‘Delete Ya’ is more personal. Over insistent drums and a bedroom pop groove, he reflects on the inescapable memories of an ex with a Julian Casablancas-style vocal: “Oh god I wish I could delete ya/ ’Cause nothing can compete with ya.”
With ‘The Crux’ due out on 4th April, it’ll be supported by a mammoth tour that will take in the US, the UK and Europe – including a sold-out headline at Glasgow’s O2 Academy on 2nd June. Check out the dates below
