GLASGOW-based avant-pop artist Elisabeth Elektra has returned with her new single ‘The Dream’.

Thew new single marks the beginning of a new chapter for the artist, co-produced alongside Jonny Scott from CHVRCHES and featuring synths from Ivor Novello winning musician Benjamin John Power (Blanck Mass, Editors).

A punchy, otherworldly slice of electronic pop that explores themes of infatuation, illusion and reclamation of personal power – it’s a triumphant return. Bathed in an icy gothic sheen, it’s driven by powerful drums, uptempo synths and the singer’s anthemic vocals which are delivered with supreme confidence. And it’s heavy on the hooks too as she reinforces her heavyweight pop credentials once again.

The accompanying video, which you can see below, was directed by BAFTA award winning Scottish film director Tim Courtney, and choreographed by Glasgow based choreographer Monika Smekot.

Elisabeth Elektra says: “The song and visuals reflect the initiatory nature of relationship breakdowns that often culminate in increased personal power and connection to and expression of ones true will.”
