The band: A 6 strong band of anarchists tossing their brand of hell raising sinister rock at the world. Formed in 2011 Fat White Family released their first album ‘Champagne Holocaust’ in April 2013, with the title apparently inspired when the group were chilling to Oasis. They cite Charles Manson as an influence, which gives you an idea of the boldness and attitude of the band.
The sound: Their new single Touch the Leather is as sleazy and dark as ever. It starts with a low rumble, and then a creepy voice declares ‘fat white skin on the devastated leather, touch the leather leather.’ They have the demeanour of punks, but wrapped up in something a bit more dark and moody.
The lowdown: Touch the Leather will be released on the 3rd March via Hate Hate Hate Records. The band are also on a jam-packed UK wide tour that will incorporate 12 Cities between the 14th and 25th February.
