NEVER one to shy away from either voicing his opinion or taking on an unexpected rendition of an existing piece of music, beloved troubadour Father John Misty has fused these two qualities with a take on Tim Heidecker’s ‘Trump’s Private Pilot.’
Clearly as concerned with the fate of the nation as the track’s original composer, the artist lesser known as Josh Tillman adapts the ‘Tim And Eric Show’ number into an intimate piano ballad. Focusing on the plight of the man that’s entrusted with the life of the controversial Republican candidate, it sees him ponder whether or not he should embark on a kamikaze mission to save the country from the prospect of an ill-fated Trump presidency.
