florenceUNIVERSALLY adored for her enchanting vocals and heartfelt songwriting, Florence Welch has made an emphatic return to the music scene over the past year.

Delivering the inspiring How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful and reaching the heady heights of a Pyramid Stage headline slot at Glastonbury, she has returned with the amazing visuals for upcoming single ‘Queen Of Peace’ and album track ‘Long and Lost.’

The shimmering chords and orchestral overtones of the former make for a composition with the gravitas to stop any listener in their tracks, whilst Welch’s trademark vocals continue to operate as a force of nature in a manner similar to Janis Joplin and Nina Simone.

Operating in a realm a million miles away from ‘Queen Of Peace’, ‘Long And Lost’ is a sparser affair with shades of ambient production thrown into the mix; while the  more depleted musical base provides the soaring declarations of Florence room to breath and engulf the track’s foreground.

The video which houses both compositions is an equally impressive effort and one which was filmed in and around the Scottish island of Easdale during a harsh winter.

Chronicling the lives of a family that inhabit the island, it displays a volatile life that features moments of exultation in addition to crippling lows.
