HAVING left Gallows to form Pure Love alongside Jim Carroll, 2015 has seen Frank Carter make a glorious return to the scene with his new band The Rattlesnakes.
Turning in an impassioned debut album which demonstrated that Carter could still thrive within the genre’s well wrought confines, Blossom has been one of the most surprising and successful records of the year; topping the UK vinyl chart and hitting number 18 in the official album incarnation last month.
Clearly reveling in the prosperity that they’ve found, they’ve released a new video for the harsh ‘Trouble.’ Overflowing with infectious energy and righteous aggression, ‘Trouble’ is exhillerating from the qualling feedback that indicates its arrival. Brimming with Carter’s snarling vocals, decadent guitar riffs and relentless percussion, it’s a masterclass in modern punk rock that never pretends to be anything else.
Its accompanying video is altogether more harrowing, filled with the kind of violent imagery that often makes its way into Carter’s visuals. Abducted by a gang of men in balaclavas and with no regard for his well-being, it sees Carter attempt to evade their attempts at assault throughout the course of the clip.
