INTRODUCING Frankie Morrow, a brand-new Scottish five-piece based in London.

Formed in January 2022 by old childhood friends Frankie, James Smith (formerly Be Charlotte) and Duncan Carswell (formerly The Vegan Leather) after a chance meeting on a train home, the band are ready to make their mark after a series of pandemic-induced false starts.

Now they’ve shared their debut single ‘White Rocks’ – and it’s an enchanting introduction for those not yet acquainted.

Capturing us from the very first note with her soulful vocals, the track sweeps you up in its gentle Americana hues and floating harmonies. With a real timeless feel to it, the band move at an unhurried pace – Frankie’s velvety vocals backed by warm flourishes of brass, flashes of electric guitar and subtle rhythms.

Bathed in nostalgia and a sunny warmth, it’s a striking debut. Self-produced by Frankie, with tracks mixed by Taylor Pollock and mastered by Izzy McPhee, it’s also said to mark the beginning of a larger project set to arrive later in 2022.

Frankie Morrow play The Flying Duck in Glasgow on 11th July and Sneaky Pete’s in Edinburgh on 12th July.
