‘MODERATION’ is the latest single from Glaswegian indie-punks Gallus in preparation of their debut album ‘We Don’t Like The People We’ve Become’ out 9th June via Marshall Records.

Following on from their immense riotous headline show at Glasgow’s SWG3 in March, Gallus accompany ‘Moderation’ with a tongue-in-cheek music video created by Humble Film Productions. Cementing their creative reputation for authentic and observational lyrics, this fresh induction to the quartet’s roguish catalogue certainly excites fans for the album release in summer 2023.

Zestful frontman Barry Dolan explains the inspiration behind the track:  “How many times am I going to lose money on stupid bets that put little thought into, until I realise that I should stop?” exclaims Dolan. “This was the main thought in my head whilst writing Moderation. Convincing yourself that you are probably going to be rich one day if you keep gambling your money away. Consistently grabbing at problematic activities in your life because you have convinced yourself, many moons ago, that it will one day make you a winner. That’s what I say to myself in the mirror, at least”.

As well as ‘Moderation’, the self-reflective LP will feature familiar favourites ‘Eye To Eye’, ‘Are You Finished’ and ‘Fruitflies’. Being described as a coming-of-age record, Gallus open up the conversation of the anxieties felt upon leaving your younger self and life behind in place of a new, and at times scary, way of being.
