RISING star Greentea Peng has shared her first new song of 2021.
Over the last 12 months, the neo-soul singer has built a formidable reputation, laying down something fresh and exciting with her hypnotic fusion of hip-hop and jazz.
Produced by long-term collaborator Earbuds, new track ‘Nah It Ain’t The Same’ captures the incredible chemistry she has with her live band The Seng Seng Family. Carrying an effortless cool, hip-hop and jazz inflections flourish into a classic drum & bass beat while Greentea Peng’s smooth, beatific vocals envelop the whole thing. It’s a fluid number that hypnotises from the very first bars.
‘Nah It Ain’t The Same’ is also the first preview of Greentea Peng’s debut album which she says is ready for release later this year.
She says ““Deliberations of a (hu) MAN, subject to the pendulum’s swing, I give you ‘Nah It Aint The Same’ off my album MAN MADE. An expression and exploration of my utter confusion and inner conflicts amidst shifting paradigms.”
