The band: Self-confessed beach gothers, The Growlers have played a host of international dates this year including a slot at Primavera Sound festival in Barcelona. In August the band headed out on a short run of dates with The Fat White Family where the bands tossed a coin to determine who headlined each night.
The sound: The new single was recorded at Sea Horse Sands Studio on downtown Los Angeles and produced by JP Plunier. The track is another great mix of distinctive melding of reverb heavy surf guitar, Bakersfield-style honky tonk with ‘80s post-punk- of which Chinese Fountain is full of.
The video: The black and white video features a beautiful wooden church and the band performing with a creepy snake as a prop, in true Growlers style.
The lowdown: ‘Good Advice’ will be released through Fat Cat Records. The single is taken from their fourth album, Chinese Fountain, which was released on 29th September. The Growlers return to the UK this month for a headline tour.
