HINDS shared a brand new song from their forthcoming debut album expected in the Autumn, earlier last month. After releasing gritty and raw demos last year, the band went on to get a couple of big breaks including supporting a band they cite as their ultimate inspiration, The Strokes, during their Hyde Park ‘British Summertime’ shows last month. They also made the bill of The John Peel tent at Glastonbury Festival.
The song is described by the band as a “winner song” and will be released via Lucky Number Music in Europe and Mom and Pop in the USA. The band wrote and recorded the song in the same way they did their original music, meaning it keeps that raw Hinds vibe that has seen them thrown into the mainstream at such lightening speed.
Of the track, the band wrote on their social media: “‘Chili Town’ was born on a Friday afternoon while drinking sangria we realized that if our songs were battles, we’ll always end up being the injured soldier.
“Then we were like “fuck it dude, why are we always the weak one in our lyrics??? What’s wrong with us???” So yeaaaaahhh we made it! We wrote a winner song! …right?
