HORSEGIRL have shared the latest single from their debut album ‘Versions of Modern Performance’, out June 3rd on Matador Records.

‘World of Pots and Pans’ is littered with influences, landing somewhere between the nuanced dynamics of shoegaze and fuzzy indie-rock. Telling the story of new friend called ‘Emma’, it’s a song shrouded in a compelling kind of mystique – meandering off without ever disclosing her fate.

The band described it as the “first love song Horsegirl has ever written — or the closest thing to it,” adding, “The lyrics, inspired by the misinterpretation of a Television Personalities lyric, imagine a (possibly unrequited) romance unfolding through references to Tall Dwarfs, Belle and Sebastian, and the Pastels.”
