One of the most recognisable figures in dance music to hail from Scotland since they heyday of Slam, Hudson Mohawke continues to decimate the competition with some of the most forward thinking productions to have emerged in the past decade.
Often imitated but rarely equaled, ‘Hudmo’ has released a visually stunning new video for ‘System’.
One of the unabashed highlights from this year’s Lantern, ‘System’ begins in a kaleidoscopic whirlwind of synths before the sugary sounds make way for a hard nosed drop which sits alongside ‘Fuse’ ‘Higher Ground’ or ‘Thunder Bay’ as some of his most remarkable work.
The video, which has been commisioned by Channel 4 as part of their ongoing ‘Random Acts’ series with Warp, features some genuinely breathtaking shots of the Manhattan skyline that correlate perfectly with the engrossing production.
