It’s
always commendable when an artist who has long held a position in a popular band decides to strike out on their own and once again put both them and their art up for public scrutiny.

One of the driving forces behind LA based group Warpaint, Jenny Lee Lindberg has decided to use the band’s time off to put together some solo material, the first taste of which being the 80’s worshipping ‘Never.’

Containing a sound which takes cues from a wide array of artists such as Bauhaus, Killing Joke and Siouxsie And The Banshees, ‘Never’ is an stark yet emotive number which is characterised by Jennylee’s ‘sedate vocals as well as her signature bass and the addition of manic percussion stamps its authority upon the track.

Jennylee’s debut solo LP Right On! will be released on the 11th December via Rough Trade Records.
