THE inimitable Kathryn Joseph  has announced details of her forthcoming studio album ‘for you who are the wronged’, due 22nd April 2022 via Rock Action.

An album that explores abuse, survival and pain, from a personal and universal point of view, it’s a challenging record that will undoubtedly reveal new depths to her songwriting.

“Partly, it feels like the only thing I can do in terms of saying it out loud,” Kathryn shares. “It’s like code. No-one will hear their name, or recognise themselves, but in years to come, they might. For me, I think maybe there’s someone who might not even realise that they’re being abused until they listen to these songs. The ones who are already – I know how strong they are. They’re in my life, and they’re surviving it.”

Along with the album news, she has shared a haunting new single called ‘what is keeping you alive makes me want to kill them for’. Typically beautiful in execution, it sees Kathryn’s whispered vocals quietly seething over a sparse, brittle keyboard melodies.

A powerful return, we’re delighted to reveal it as RADAR TRACK OF THE WEEK.

Kathryn Joseph has also revealed details of a UK tour which will include a number of dates around Scotland. See full tour dates below.
