FOR those who have yet to hear the name Lavender Lane, now is the time to tune in.

The three-piece performed their first ever gig at King Tut’s last week and received a rapturous response. Shortly before that, their debut single ‘Blame’ was also released and the streams have been racking up ever since.

Recorded in one of the member’s flats, the DIY nature of the track is offset by the richness of its production. Layered with wavy synths, vocal harmonies and kinetic beats, it’s a distinctly modern slice of indie-pop that sits nicely alongside the likes of Dayglow, The 1975 and other up and coming artists like Remi Wolf and Wallice.

Lyrically about accepting that blame falls on both sides, it’s full of catchy hooks and shimmering melodies – perfect for summer.
