FOLLOWING the release of her stunning debut album ‘All I Have Now’ last November, Linzi Clark has seen her profile grow immensely over the last few months – thanks largely to support from BBC 6Music and Radio Scotland, as well as a number of impressive live showings at Hug n Pint and King Tut’s New Year’s Revolution.

Looking to continue this momentum, she’s teamed up with Paisley producer Arbo for a remix of ‘Balancing Act’, one of her debut album’s lead singles.

Of course, the singer-songwriter is no stranger to electronic music, having sang over hypnotic, shimmering soundscapes as lead singer of DRIFT. However, on this remix, producer Arbo gets even more experimental – picking apart Linzi’s vocal display and expertly manipulating it into a progressive and atmospheric piece of house music.

Known for conjuring emotive soundscapes that are ambient as they are progressive, he offers a refreshing and wholly original take on the track – one that feels unpredictable and exciting. Taking Linzi’s homespun sound and transporting it to the club, it’s an intoxicating combination.
