HIGHLAND-based outfit Lional have made a striking return with the release of ‘Happy Birthday’.
Taking inspiration from eighties acts like The Cure, Joy Division and The Smiths, the band bring their gothic, post-punk influences to the forefront with an anthemic display of strident guitars and impassioned vocals. Described as “an anthem of love, loss and existence”, it’s another step up from a band who have always been in our peripheral vision with slots at Belladrum and Tenement Trail.
