consistently popular band that leapt out of the overpopulated mid-2000s indie landscape to become something entirely original, The Maccabees have been going strong ever since debut album Colour It In and have been relentless ever since.

Thrilling fans with what has been revealed about latest record Marks To Prove It thus far, they’ve released the emphatic Spit It Out.

Debuting on Annie Mac’s Radio 1 show last night, ‘Spit It out’ is an insistent and ferocious slice of rock and roll that has as much in common with the rousing style of Bruce Springsteen as it does with their previously established sound.

Melding the aforementioned anthemic elements with the kind of wonderous dissonance that has been a common theme throughout the excerpts that we’ve heard from their new record thus far; ‘Spit It Out’ bustles with frenetic energy as frontman Orlando Weeks howls over a manic piano loop. Grabbing hold of the kind of spirit that they’d found on third LP Given To The Wild and dragging it by the scruff of the neck toward a bold new direction, The Maccabees have the world begging for their new LP.

New LP Marks To Prove It will be released on 31st July 2015 via Fiction Records, whilst the band will head up to Scotland to perform at the Gentlemen Of The Road Aviemore Stopover this Saturday (1st August 2015)
