medGEARING up for their single launch at The Hug And Pint, Medicine Men have unveiled ‘Sleeping With The Light On’, the B-side to ‘In The Breeze’ and an outing which marks an expansion in the band’s sound.

Centered around a bassline that wouldn’t be out of place in the work of 70’s stalwarts such as Stretch, The Bar-Kays and Brass Construction, this latest offering from the Glasgow four piece is a slow-burning funk number complete with wah-wah guitars and space age keys. Sure to register as a natural progression given the dance textures that have often lurked in the undertow of their material, its ample charms are increased by one of the most effective choruses in their arsenal and capped off with engrossing guitar interplay and a singalong refrain.

‘In The Breeze’ and ‘Sleeping With The Light On’ will be released tomorrow before the band hit The Hug And Pint alongside Miracle Glass Company, Stara Zagora and Paves with tickets available now via Music Glue.
