MELLAH has released his new single ‘Easy Breezy’ ahead of his upcoming EP.

‘Easy Breezy’ gives us a taste of a new EP titled ‘Them, scheduled to be released on the 10th June. It will be followed by another two EPs ‘Us’ and ‘Me’ later this year, each including three songs and collectively titled ‘333’.

The single is a comment on society’s willingness to accept what should be unacceptable. Mellah says “I often feel quite a lot of anger at society and how people seem to snub injustice as long as it’s outside their picket fence”, with his message made clear from the opening lyric: “How do you wash the blood off your hands and out your hair? The easier the less you care”.

Percussive guitar, punchy vocals and confidently sparse drums are responsible for the track’s funky, upbeat and energetic sound, contrasting with the raw and satirical lyrics to reflect the theme of blissful ignorance, that there “ain’t nothing wrong”.

Mellah’s ‘Easy Breezy’ shines light on a pressing issue in a catchy and vibrant format. Check it out below.
