AFTER months of retreating back to the studio to work on new material, Dundee outfit Model Aeroplanes returned earlier this summer showing heaps of progression and a revitalised sense of creative inspiration.
A shift that was established by the release of the shimmering and brilliantly catchy ‘Lover’, the band have now followed it up with the equally infectious and appropriately titled ‘Fever’. Brimming with their signature pop sensibilities, the track takes them down the more unexpected path of spacey psychedelic funk; warped guitar lines are joined by ringing synths and a driving rhythm section to create a delectable slice of indie pop.
Gleaming with eighties influences, it’s another exciting insight into what’s to come from the four-piece as they look to build on their early promise with their most accomplished material to date.
