FOLLOWING the release of their ‘Don’t Look Back’ EP earlier this year, MOY have shared a contemplative new single ‘Renee’.
Known for their shape-shifting sound that traverses a diverse array of styles and genres, they’ve once again taken a left-turn on this new offering. While their previous EP was both tender and tenacious, full of fuzzy layers of muscular guitar, pulsing rhythms and wall-of-sound crescendos, ‘Renee’ falls on the softer side of the spectrum – their frontman’s opulent vocals and wistful lyrics surrounded by nostalgic guitar melodies, sweeping synths and jittering beats.
Intricately layered, it’s the band’s ability to evoke a power of emotions through their songwriting that continues to shine.
