ON ‘moody’, South London songwriter MYTBE reflects on a brief romance with powerful candidness and vulnerability.

Quiet and hushed, the track is incredibly intimate – as the artist documents a relationship over delicate guitar strums. It may be quiet and understated, but the impact is no less resounding – the track shimmering with tension as she reveals her innermost thoughts.

She said “I wrote this song about a recent brief romance, one which both parties both knew wasn’t going to last forever,” she says of the track. “Although the end was in sight, I still found myself drunk on affection and willing to overlook the red flags. Inspired by these feelings of blindsidedness, I was keen to capture the foolish notion of loving carelessly.”
