Psweatpants ‘HeadOffTheGround’
Forming the first piece of the upcoming ‘2LeftFeet’ EP out on November 6th, ‘HeadOffTheGround’ presents an immense climax to a busy year for the Glasgow based rapper, with an eight-track EP released just a few months back this year. Performances on stage with Glasgow’s finest VLURE saw PSweatpants grace the stage all over the UK in the form of Tenement Trail, Truck Festival and Strange Overtones Festival. P appeared as no stranger to these huge stages, owning them as though they were crowds of his own, it will be no surprise to see him return to venues alike in the near future.
Produced, mixed and mastered by rising star FinnFM, the exciting new tune coincides with the announcement of a headline show for Psweatpants and FinnFM at Edinburgh’s Volens Chorus on November 7th alongside Effua, tickets on sale now.
kitti ‘Everything You Wanted’
Acclaimed Glasgow-based singer-songwriter kitti has shared the second single from her highly-anticipated forthcoming debut album Somethin’ In The Water, which is set for release on 15th November via Rebecca’s Records.
Honey-tinged track Everything You Wanted provides one of the standout moments on the album, and boasts an arresting combination of dreamy strings, heavenly backing vocals and sublime keys, alongside kitti’s captivating vocal improvisations which centre stage and grab the listener’s attention.
Written when she was just 14-years-old on an upright piano gifted from her Nonna and Papa, Everything You Wanted is one of kitti’s oldest compositions – and its beautiful songwriting and arrangement showcases why she has come to be considered one of Scotland’s most exciting jazz artists. Alongside drums, guitars, keyboards and piano, the sensational song also features flute, tenor saxophone, trombone, trumpet, violin, viola and cello for a dynamic and uplifting sound.
Citizen Papes ‘Gramophone’
A month since his debut London live show at The Social, Scottish bedroom pop artist Citizen Papes, today shares his second EP Gramophone via Local Artists. Set to his now signature sound of gentle guitar chords and mellifluous melodies, this EP was written in the months following the first, possessing the same charm as the debut collection but with a new sparseness of production that allows the songs’ meanings and Citizen Papes’ moving voice come to the fore. Title track ‘Gramophone’ lets his Scottish accent shine over a delightfully sunny chord progression, while ‘Cool Girl’ lets his Bon Iver influence show.
“I’ve been trying to write more intentionally,” he says of the progression between the two EPs. “I want it to connect more with people; I realised it’s not just music, and you can actually relate to it in a way. The second EP is a lot more personable.”
The focus track ‘Genevieve’ follows summer singles ‘Half Way Home’ , ‘Gramophone’ and ‘Unbelievable’ and of course his debut EP For You which he released earlier this year. It is a bittersweet track, recapping a fiery time between two lovers that ended in a blaze of glory. It’s accompanied by a charming video in which JP channels his inner Dylan, honing in on key lyrics from the song.
Goodnight Louisa ‘Grace Jones’
It’s the synth tribute to the ways of the iconic Grace Jones that you knew you always wanted, this time brought to you by dramatic Glasgow-based, noir-synth-pop poet, Goodnight Louisa. Releasing her first new music since her debut DIY album released almost three years ago, the artist and actor – real name Louise McCraw – uses the one-of-a-kind model, actress and musician as her muse for the single, released on Tue 22 October 2025.
Weighing up thoughts of her own persona during fresh nights of solitude, McCraw was struck by the urgent vision of Grace Jones – the idea of the awesome, one-of-a-kind personality who tore through the 80’s as a steely icon of non-compromise, took the place of confusion, loneliness and uncertainty.
