‘BULLSEYE’ is the new single from up and coming Scottish artist Nicky Lipp and is the third track to be revealed from his debut EP, ‘FIRSTS’ set for release on 30th June. A five track collection, the EP is the sound of . Leith-based Nicky’s compelling melodies and impassioned lyrics firmly mark him out as one of Scotland’s most exciting emerging talents.

The new single is a spirited battle anthem for a world at war with itself. The track sees Nicky seek to bring unity through his music, although writing the song has had a liberating effect on the artist himself.

“Bullseye was birthed after feeling like I’d been written off or misunderstood a bit,’ says Nicky. ‘Letting go of that feeling – sticking to my guns and beliefs – poured out of me in a redemptive way, which meant the song ended up sounding quite joyful. So, for that, I love the feeling I get when I sing it.”

Since 2022, Nicky has received a wave of support including single of the week on BBC Radio Scotland twice and constant support from Amazing Radio. He has also been featured on Apple Music’s official ‘Apple Music Rock’ and ‘New in Alternative’ playlists, and Spotify’s ‘Shockwave’ playlist.

Nicky’s music videos and social media presence reflect an artist in tune with his contemporaries, portraits taken alone in a stark, stylised hotel offer a rich visual insight into his depth of emotion and creative energy. Nicky’s debut EP is due for release later this Summer and he plays Glasgow’s McChuill’s on Friday 3rd June.
