unnamedSUCCESS in all endeavours has been the calling card of this calendar year for Glasgow’s The Ninth Wave. From tearing it up on the T Break stage to obtaining a sought after last minute slot at Electric Fields, the band have established themselves as a firm fixture on the radars of tastemakers from Scotland and further afield.

Set to bring their distinctive and absolutely thrilling sound to Tenement Trail tomorrow over on Dead Beet Records’ Broadcast stage, we are excited to bring you the band’s brand new video for ‘Human Touch.’

Setting off with a sense of impenetrable danger as a deep synth hum makes its presence known, ‘Human Touch’ begins in earnest as the listener is coerced toward a swirling vortex of jagged, post-punk guitars. A hallmark of the band’s sonic template that made their debut EP such an inviting prospect, the intersecting vocals of Haydn Park-Patterson and Elena Lin which at once compliment and challenge one another work to effectively convey the conflicts that are deep rooted in its message.

Shedding light on the tracks primary concerns, Haydn has said that “Human Touch focuses on being aware of greed and hate in oneself and others around you, being disgusted by it and yet lusting for closeness by another flawed person.”

Its brand new video sees Haydn making his way through Glasgow’s backstreets barechested, incensed and coated in silver paint whilst both he and Elena attempt to fend off the many arms that attempt to grab them from just out of sight.

‘Human Touch’ can be pre-ordered alongside ‘Nothing Is Certain’ on AA vinyl via their BigCartel.

The Ninth Wave will play Tenement Trail at 6:00pm at Broadcast.
