FOLLOWING a memorable appearance at Tenement Trail two weeks ago, Newcastle outfit The Old Pink House are looking to build on their growing momentum with the release of the anthemic ‘NECK DEEP’.

Opening with a formidable guitar riff, the track sees them revisit their eighties influences in bright, neon fashion. Packed full of infectious melodies, shimmering synths and tinges of psychedelia, a massive chorus delivers the central hook of the song; fuelled by frontman Christopher Brown’s imperious vocals and confrontational lyricism. Brimming with swagger from start to end, it’s the sound of a band who are becoming increasingly confident in their craft.

The frontman said: ‘Neck Deep’ was one of the first tracks that was written collaboratively as a band. Previously our process had been a lot more singular, but this song came together really naturally in our dingy little rehearsal room. I don’t usually like to say what songs are specifically about, but at its core, it’s ultimately about how relationships can be swallowed up by secrets.”

Having made a distinct impression at some of the UK’s biggest tastemaker festivals alongside some massive support slots, fans continue to latch onto The Old Pink House with each impressive release.
