STILL in their relative infancy as a group, London based four piece Palace launched themselves into the fray with the outstanding Lost In The Night, an incredible EP that showcased their blues infused alt-rock in all its glory. After delivering a truly astonishing set at Live At Glasgow, they have released the video for ‘Kiloran’; the first single to be taken from their new EP.
Awash with beautifully dense guitar that operates on the periphery of shoegaze bands such as Slowdive, ‘Kiloran’ is punctuated by an arresting bassline and masterful percussion. Propelled by jutting chords that interject throughout, it veers between frantic and sedate to great effect. Held together by Leo Wyndham’s tentative yet impassioned vocals, the track mutates into a delightfully sparse exhibition of guitar virtuosity in its final strains.
Draped in swathes of intoxicating filters and inundated with gorgeous imagery, the track’s accompanying video correlates in a seamless manner with the immersive quality that the music possesses.
