THIS week saw the arrival of ‘The Parliamo Manifesto’ – the seven-track EP from Perth’s finest.

Having emerged back in June with a revised line-up and fresh new sound, the EP is a culmination of over a year of songwriting and honing in on their craft.

A bold and ambitious statement of intent, it lives up to all expectations and more – providing relatable commentary on the modern world from their own vibrant, darkly humorous point of view. Against a baggy, swaggering sound that pulls from late 80s/early 90s Madchester groups, euphoric psychedelica and modern indie, they touch down on themes like catholic guilt, mental health and young love with a distinctive tongue-in-cheek charm and refreshing vitality.

In a world full of turmoil and uncertainty, Parliamo are the feel-good antidote.
