alternative band Pinact have unveiled the grungy video for ‘Up Or Down’ ahead of their trip to Austin’s SXSW festival next month. Pinact have had numerous mainstream comparisons with many music figures stating that they are the next generation of 90’s alternative rock, including Sonic Youth, Nirvana and Mudhoney. This shows in their fuzz-filled choruses that follow their pop-punk verses.

The video for ‘Up or Down’ is superb in its simplicity. Directed by Ryan Daglish, the three-piece appear in monochrome with very little camera angle changes while they bop along ardently as if they are playing energetically at their own show. The band will commence on a UK tour in April after their appearance at SXSW, starting in Leeds and ending in Aberdeen ten days later.
