FALKIRK indie rock favourites Pleasure Heads have returned this week with “Equal To Me” and “Hungry In Hell”

Their first release of 2021 follows 2020’s “War and Orange Juice” and “Cosmopolis”, two tracks that displayed the four-piece’s ever growing sonic and thematic ambition.

Their penchant for clever lyricism and musicality has only been shown to strengthen with these latest two releases.

“Equal To Me” wastes no time in getting to its anthemic chorus, coming within thirty seconds of its syncopated guitar and bass intro.

‘Heids’, however, have gone the extra mile with this release and thrown the excellent “Hungry In Hell” into the bargain. Billed as the ‘B-side’ to “Equal To Me” on this two track release, ‘B-side’ would perhaps be a misnomer 0n this occasion, indicating lesser quality; “Hungry In Hell” is an undeniable masterpiece. Atmospheric, catchy and pensive, it holds its own against any other in the band’s renowned catalogue.

Pleasure Head headline King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut next week on the 18th of November, their first Glasgow in over 18 months. To hear these two bangers and all their classics, grab your tickets here.
