FALKIRK outfit Pleasure Heads have made a comeback with the release of their new single ‘Y2K’.
Marking their first release since 2021, the song is the first to be heard from an upcoming EP, due for release later this year.
The band turn the clock back for inspiration though – revisiting the misguided paranoia and end-of-world predictions that were afoot at the turn of the millennium. Sonically, it’s instantly recognisable as Pleasure Heads – the whimsical context delivered alongside excellent guitar work, catchy hooks, and those drawling vocals.
It’s a welcome, and rather long-awaited, comeback.
