TENEMENT TV are delighted to bring you the premiere of Two Tone Television’s latest single, Twisted Animator.
Channelling influences such as Eagles of Death Metal and The White Stripes, Twisted Animator stands out as Two Tone Television’s most musically ambitious song to date. Bursting with the same unhinged aggression that was present in previous single Cab Driver, the track’s verses are contrasted by an anthemic chorus that immediately seizes the attention. Twisted Animator definitely shows an increased sophistication in Two Tone Television’s approach to composition with duelling vocal lines and synthesisers woven through the fabric of the song.
Singer Liam McCombie had this to say about their latest offering: ‘The track you’re hearing now is like the 19th version of itself. The lyrics and chorus are the same but anyone who has heard the older version live probably wouldn’t realise it’s the same tune. We’ve been together now for a couple years and a lot of songs we’ve played live have been cut as we’ve been trying to hone our sound and become more consistent as we move forward and our song writing develops.’
They had initially planned a single launch in Glasgow’s Broadcast with fellow up-and-coming punk acts The Bleeders, Ghostbaby and The Stoned Immaculate, but due to the ongoing lockdown have been forced to postpone the event. However, they intend to reschedule the gig as soon as they can and promise that more tunes are on the way in the meantime.
Twisted Animator will be released on all streaming platforms on Friday the 10th of April.
