FOLLOWING the drop of their brand new single, TTV have the exclusive first watch of WEB’s brand new music video for ‘Haze’. Born out of years of experimenting in his home studio in Glasgow, Kieren Webster puts his songwriting talents front and centre of new band WEB- his first solo project since The View.

Spinning a WEB of minimal arrangements, amplified lyrics and distorted guitars to create the band’s trademark, WEB’s unique and devastatingly fresh noise is a welcomed addition to the 2020 soundscape. Debut release ‘Haze’ packs a punch leading with spoken word story telling and punk guitar riffs fit for the big rooms and Main Stages.

Speaking about the new music video, Kieren Webster said: “Haze was written while I was on a road trip in California. So I thought it would be cool to use some of the footage we filmed on our phones while over there. They were never meant to be for a video and were all filmed in portrait. I sent them over to Red to see if he could do something with them. Red had some oil lamps he uses at his club so thought that they would add to the west coast psychedelic vibe. We booked a day in Wasp studios in Dundee where Red and Nelroy set up the scene with the lights etc, then Red filmed all the shots. Most of the video was recorded on an iPhone, I collect vintage cameras and had brought one along so we ended up using that for a few shots too. Then we left Red to do his thing bringing all together.”

You can file the Scottish outfit alongside the likes of The Jesus and Mary Chain, The Pixies, The Fall, The Velvet Underground… but this is 2020 and you’ve never quite experienced anything like WEB before. Watch the new video exclusively via TTV below:
