pretty viciousPRETTY Vicious are an extremely young outfit, and they’ve already proved themselves significantly. Not only have they sold out various dates in the UK, including one at Glasgow’s King Tut’s, they are supporting Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds at the end of the year. With the release of the Cave Song EP, the title track alone shows the burgeoning potential in their indie punk frenzy.

Take Pretty Vicious as a ballsier Strypes – both are youthful and incredibly talented, but Pretty Vicious have endless tuneful melodies and an audacious punk attitude that is enchanting to people the same age as them or even above. ‘Cave Song’ fits in that category: it has a dominant riff that is stuck in your head for days and roaring vocals. The video emphasises the grittiness in their work as they throw themselves around while performing a derelict building.

Pretty Vicious are playing an array of festival dates this summer, including Truck Festival, Y Not Festival and Kendal Calling. They will support Noel Gallagher in Swansea in early September and perform a full-scale UK tour later in the month. The band will play Glasgow’s King Tut’s again on 19th September 2016. The new EP will be released on 17th June through Virgin EMI.
