The band: Pronto Mama are one of the most interesting prospects in Scotland at the moment, with their eclectic sound that includes Scottish accented vocals. They have been busy with festivals this summer, including a set at Wickerman where we caught up with them for an acoustic performance that you can watch here. They also have a new EP on the way titled Niche Market.
The sound: New track ‘Goose Steps’ will appear on that EP. It follows a simple hook that is supplemented by Pronto Mama’s usual frills such as trumpet, keys and big chords. Its infectious in its simplicity and interesting in its strangeness.
The lowdown: Niche Market is due out on the 15th September via Instinctive Raccoon and the band will play the Tenement Trail festival on October 4th.
