BORN in South London but currently based in Glasgow, Psweatpants has shared his first single of 2023 – ‘A SLICK ONE’.
Produced by Louis Seivwright (the SAMA-nominated Aberdonian beatmaker who recently signed with Warner), and with guest vocals by fellow London MC THREEOH, the track is the first to be lifted from Psweatpants’ forthcoming mixtape, ‘Life was sh*t It still is now’, set to drop in summer 2023.
Brimming with confidence, the rapper’s incisive flow sets the smooth production alight. Sure to mark a pivotal turning point for the burgeoning star, he sets his stall out for 2023 in formidable fashion.
Selected by Vic Galloway as one to watch in 2023, Psweatpants is starting to catch all the right attention – having supported Bemz at a sold-out King Tuts show last year and featured on Nova’s single ‘Red Flags’ earlier this year.
Unafraid to hide his ambition, the track is a statement of intent. “It’s me staking my claim in not just the Scottish rap scene, but the whole music scene. It’s me laying a flag down and going, ‘Yo, this is me. I’m Psweatpants. This is what I do’,” says Psweatpants. “I’m showing everyone that I’m back. A new upgraded P. I’m showing off my skills, trying to show everyone that there’s Bemz, and now I’m next.”
