Brògeal ‘Vicar Street Days’
It’s a track tinged with nostalgia and memories of being young back home in Falkirk. The five-piece band show off their melodic chops on a single that pays homage to their early shows in their hometown where they quickly made a name for themselves with their raucous, incendiary performances. The song celebrates those times whilst acknowledging the bittersweet feeling of moving on. It’s been produced by Richie Kennedy (Cardinals, Cliffords, RIDE).
VLURE ‘Feels Like Heaven’
Since their debut single ‘Shattered Faith’ in 2021, VLURE have built themselves a reputation as one of the most vital and culturally significant bands around. Their performances at The Great Escape and Pitchfork Paris were raved about, their set at Shangri-La was talked about across all of Glastonbury and they were nominated as BBC Introducing Scotland’s Artist of the Year in 2023. To add to this, they also won Best Live Act at the Scottish Alternative Music Awards in 2023 and Electronic & Dance Live Artist of the Year at the 2024 Scottish Live Music Awards. With ‘Escalate’, VLURE have made a body of work quite unlike anything else out there at the moment but one which, at its core is an album about coming of age, friendship and finding oneself.
BRSR ‘Judas’
After a year of self-imposed isolation, Post-Everything quartet BRSR return with ‘JUDAS’ — an absurdly evil exploration of how the past can still command the present. A departure from the band’s earlier work, JUDAS introduces a claustrophobic ambience to their signature mix of heavy, swirling guitars and thunderous rhythms.
